Supreme is tapping into a legendary moment from art and sports history this week. The brand has partnered with the Muhammad Ali estate and the Andy Warhol Foundation to release pieces featuring Warhol's 1977 polaroid portrait of the boxing icon. For those unfamiliar, Warhol shot Ali as part of his 'Athletes' series, capturing a surprisingly contemplative side of someone known for being larger than life both in and out of the ring. Warhol himself noted he only met Ali once, but the encounter clearly left an impression.
The collection is straightforward - a hoodie and short-sleeve tee showcasing the Warhol portrait, plus four additional graphic tees dropping alongside them. It's a solid collaboration that brings together two cultural forces who were each redefining their respective worlds during the same era.
