Supreme's linking up with Andres Serrano this fall, bringing some of the controversial photographer's most provocative work to the lineup. For those unfamiliar, Serrano's been pushing boundaries since the '80s with his exploration of religious iconography mixed with bodily fluids - work that's sparked everything from Senate condemnations to actual vandalism. His "Piss Christ" piece remains one of the most debated artworks in modern history, so this isn't your typical artist collaboration.
The collection features three of Serrano's pieces across the range: "Piss Christ," "Madonna & Child II," and "Blood and Semen II." You're looking at:
- Two hooded sweatshirts
- Sweatpants
- Two graphic tees
- A Vans collaboration featuring Sk8-Hi, Chukka, and Old Skool silhouettes with "Blood and Semen II" graphics
Drops September 21st at Supreme stores in NY, LA, London, Paris and online, with Japan following on September 23rd. Definitely one of the more provocative collabs this season - expect some strong reactions either way.
