Supreme is teaming up with Jake and Dinos Chapman, the notorious British artist duo whose provocative work has been pushing boundaries since the early '90s. If you're not familiar, these guys are legit art world heavyweights - they came up alongside Damien Hirst as part of the Young British Artists movement and even scored a Turner Prize nomination back in 2003. Their work doesn't shy away from controversial subject matter, and they've made headlines for everything from defacing original Goya etchings to reimagining Hitler watercolors. Love them or hate them, they're undeniably influential.
The collaboration consists of five limited edition skateboard decks featuring the Chapman Brothers' distinctive artwork. It's a solid pairing when you think about it - Supreme's history of working with boundary-pushing artists meets the Chapmans' unapologetically provocative aesthetic.
The decks drop on October 11th at Supreme stores in NY, LA, and London, plus online. Japan gets them on October 13th. No pricing details have been announced yet, but expect these to move quickly given the artists' profile and the limited nature of the release.
