Supreme's teaming up with the estate of DJ Screw for a Spring 2026 collection. Six pieces. All paying tribute to the man who invented chopped and screwed music.

Who Was DJ Screw?

Born Robert Earl Davis, Jr. in 1971, DJ Screw grew up on Houston's southside. He taught himself to DJ at 12 using his mother's blues records. By 1990, he was experimenting with analog hardware to create something nobody had heard before. His technique was deceptively simple: play two copies of the same record simultaneously, pitch down the tempo, chop up the vocals. He recorded everything on a four-track cassette recorder, manipulating the output into something drowsy and hypnotic. That's chopped and screwed.

As the tapes spread across Houston, Screw started inviting local rappers to rhyme over his remixes. That loose collective became the Screwed Up Click, or S.U.C. Together they defined Houston rap in the '90s. Screw released four studio albums throughout the decade, most notably 3 'N The Mornin' Parts One and Two, while continuing to sell his sought-after tapes. He passed in November 2000 at just 29 years old. His influence hasn't faded. It's only grown, reaching from hip-hop into experimental electronic music nearly three decades later.

The Collection

The drop features football jerseys with "Screwed Up Click" and "Supreme Screw The World" graphics across the front and back. There are camo colorways alongside light blue and black options visible in the images. The zip-up hooded sweatshirts carry artwork of Screw himself on the front with text on the back, available in colors including brown, blue, and black. Sweatshorts come in blue, brown, and black with S.U.C. branding. The SUC tees feature the Screwed Up Click logo on the chest in light blue, black, and white. Five-panel caps come in purple, black, and camo with an S.U.C. patch on the front. And there's a Foco Bobblehead of DJ Screw himself, shown with a blue cap.
