Supreme and Nike SB are dropping something genuinely new this season—the SB 94, a mid-top skate shoe that marks the first time both brands have designed a completely original silhouette together from the ground up. Previous Supreme x Nike collabs have reimagined existing models, but this one's built from scratch. The design pulls from vintage basketball sneakers, nodding to the era when skaters were repurposing hoops shoes before dedicated skate footwear became a thing. Most notably, there's foamposite integrated into the heel cup, which isn't something you typically see on skate shoes.
The material choices here are actually pretty thoughtful. Beyond the foamposite's shock absorption and NYC sneaker culture cachet, the upper uses leathers and suedes selected specifically for skating durability, while the rubber sole compound is engineered to balance grip and longevity. Nike's Zoom Air cushioning is in there too, so the tech specs are solid.
