Supreme's linking up with Marithé + François Girbaud for Spring 2025, bringing together two brands that have always pushed denim and streetwear in their own ways. For those unfamiliar, Girbaud is a French label that's been around since 1972 and basically invented a lot of the denim treatments we take for granted today. They were the first to stonewash jeans back in the '60s - literally just taking them to Paris laundromats to break them in before selling them. By the '80s and '90s, they were creating wild constructions like the X-pocket jean and the cult-favorite Shuttle Jean, that oversized style with velcro straps inspired by space suits.
The Supreme collab spans a solid range of pieces: a Leather Flight Bomber Jacket, Denim Trucker Jacket, Down Puffer Vest, Hockey Jersey, Hooded Sweatshirt, Leather Cargo Pant, Baggy Jean, Sweatpant, Denim Short, Tee, Camp Cap, Beanie, Tote Bag, and Towel. It's a pretty extensive collection that seems to honor Girbaud's experimental approach to construction while fitting into Supreme's aesthetic.
Dropping April 3rd in the US and Europe, with Asia getting it April 5th. No pricing details yet, but expect the leather pieces to command a premium given Girbaud's history with aged leather treatments.
