Supreme and Nike are bringing back the GTS - short for "Great Tennis Shoe" - a silhouette that originally dropped in spring 1993. While Nike marketed it as a hybrid for on and off the court, the shoe eventually found its true calling in skate culture during its seven-year production run. Legends like Guy Mariano, Pepe Martinez, and Drake Jones helped cement the GTS as a legit skate shoe, giving it a solid place in skate history.
For this collaboration, Supreme and Nike have updated the classic with a herringbone cotton canvas upper, available in five exclusive colorways. It's a nice touch that keeps the retro aesthetic while giving the shoe some texture and durability.
The Supreme/Nike GTS drops on July 16th in New York, LA, London stores and online, with Japan following on July 18th. Retail is set at $88 USD, £69 UK, and ¥11,880 JP - pretty reasonable for a Nike collab these days.
