Supreme is linking up with Stone Island for Fall 2014, bringing together the Italian technical wear brand's fabric innovation with Supreme's design sensibility. For those unfamiliar, Stone Island has been pushing boundaries in garment construction since 1982, particularly known for their dyeing and treatment techniques developed in their own color lab. Their approach goes beyond aesthetics, drawing heavily from military and workwear to create pieces that actually function.
The collection centers around Stone Island's Raso Gommato Cover Nero fabric - a wind and water-resistant cotton satin bonded to polyurethane. The standout piece is a jacket featuring a removable garment-dyed down liner, alongside a full range of hooded and crewneck sweatshirts, sweatpants, and a camp cap. Stone Island manufactured everything except the camp cap, which Supreme produced using the Raso Gommato fabric.
