Supreme is tapping into John Woo's legendary 1989 Hong Kong action cinema this season with a collection built around The Killer. If you're not familiar, it's the film that basically defined the "heroic bloodshed" genre - Chow Yun-fat plays an assassin trying to fund surgery for a singer he accidentally blinded, while a cop becomes weirdly fascinated with his moral code. The movie's known for its insanely choreographed gunfight sequences that people still call "bullet ballet," and it's had a massive influence on action films ever since.
The lineup is pretty straightforward this time around: an M-65 jacket, hoodie, two different tees, and a deck, all featuring imagery from the film. It's a solid nod to one of the most influential action directors in cinema, and honestly feels like a natural fit given Supreme's history of pulling from cult films and subculture touchstones.
The collection drops on October 25th at Supreme's NY, Brooklyn, LA, London, and Paris stores, plus online. Japan gets it two days later on October 27th.
