Supreme is linking up with Zoo York for Spring 2025, tapping into some serious NYC skate history. For those who don't know, Zoo York basically put East Coast skateboarding on the map back in '93 when the entire industry was California-focused. While West Coast brands were channeling punk rock, Zoo York represented what NYC skaters were actually about - the graffiti and hip-hop culture that defined the streets they were skating.
The collab makes a lot of sense when you consider Zoo York's legendary 1997 video "The Zoo York Mixtape." That thing was genuinely influential, mixing footage of Harold Hunter, Jefferson Pang, and other team riders with freestyle sessions from Method Man, Ghostface, Busta Rhymes, and Fat Joe pulled from the Stretch and Bobbito show. It showed the world how NYC skaters adapted to harsh weather and gnarly street spots with their own raw, technical style - basically the blueprint for how street skating evolved globally.
